Welcome to the NIAA anime download page. This space is here as a service to club attendees who have either missed a meeting or want to recap a previous meeting.
A quick primer on how to get these episodes to play on your computer. Many anime episodes are encoded in audio/video formats called codecs that do not come installed or standard on an operating system such as Windows or OS X. There is an easy way and a hard way to remedy this.
The easy way is to use a universal video player such as VLC Video Player. VLC includes all of the modern codecs in the player itself, so you do not need to install the individual codecs. Windows version is here. OS X version is here.
The hard way is to of course download the codecs yourself. This sounds painful, but for a reason you might not expect. Codecs can be bundled into a single installer, but there are so many different ones to chose from it can be mind boggling. Here are two codec packs each for Windows and Mac OS X that are geared for viewing anime.
Windows
Combined Community Codec Pack - You will need to uninstall any existing codec packs on your computer and reboot before installing this. Use the Insurgent tool listed on the page, it can help you identify any other known codec packs on your system.
Mac OS X
Perian - Follow the installation instructions. Perian messes with the QuickTime libraries to support additional video codecs and containers.

Known Issues
No Subs in VLC - The subtitles are there, just not enabled by default. Check under Video -> Subtitles to select and enable them.
Now then, onto the anime!
